Does any body know of any really good acne treatments?

ok im 15 years old and ive suffered from sever acne for quite a few years and i spent a total of $3,296 on acne treatments alone just last year. nothing is really working for me. any advice?

water and exercise are best, but sometimes they won’t do the trick.

you can try anti-biotics or topical lotions, but they are expensive and could make things worse.

I suffered for years with acne, always having 2-3 sizable spots. I used everything possible and was completely addicted to over-the-counter treatments (washes, spot treatments, drying lotions, toners, masques, etc.) I spent loads.

Finally, I figured out that my skin seemed to be better in humid climates. I guess when it was getting more moisture, it stopped producing so much excess oil. So I stopped using everything that was drying out my skin. I switched to a cream cleanser and a good moisturizer.

I still use some home-made masks every now and then, and whenever I start to feel a spot coming up, I dab on some preparation H right away. It stops it from getting red and inflamed and it will usually disappear in the next day.

For home-made treatments, try a combination of baking soda and apple cider vinegar. Spread it all over your face and leave for 10 min. Wash off with warm water, gently rubbing as you remove it to get some mild exfoliation.

good luck!

ZENMED REVIEWS

1
Skin Support Serum

“After years of prescription products and useless facials at salons (skin looks good for a day!), identifying my triggers and using the Support Serum are what finally worked. The pustules are gone, the redness is calmed, and my skin looks normal. I have re-ordered this product 10 times already and told everyone about it. Thanks ZENMED” Lucy S. Phoenix, AZ

2
Derma Cleanse Capsules

“Many years of a bad complexion and taking antibiotics that stained my teeth left me really depressed. So I decided to supplement a new, healthy diet with Derma Cleanse. After 3 months, no one would ever believe I had troubled skin in my life. My parents even commented on it during Christmas dinner, I was embarassed yes, but flattered!” Lydia M. Cork, Ireland

3
Skin Eraser

“Every pimple I ever get seems to leave me a scar behind, in my case dark spots. I was told by ZENMED that Acne has to be treated quickly in order to prevent major damage from occurring to the skin. I was not treating my Acne at all! So I tried the Skin Eraser for about 4 weeks, at night, under moisturizer. I am already starting to use less makeup!” Farah R. SF, CA

4
Microdermabrasion Complex

“I cant believe how soft this product makes your skin! I get far better results with this product that I have ever had from ANY salon facial/peel/treatment. My boyfriend’s mom even commented on how perfect my skin is, and I wasn’t even wearing any makeup that day. I made sure to tell her about ZENMED on the internet.” Catherine L. Quebec City, PQ

5
Facial Cleansing Gel

“This cleanser gives me an all-in-one clean without parching the skin or smelling like soap. I am very sensitive to smells in product so I wanted something different. I also like the fact that it has organic ingredients. I have sensitive skin but I also want to make sure everything gets removed without leaving a film. Great for my troubled complexion.”  Mary P. NSW, AU

Boy, 14, dies after taking acne drug.

Shaun Jones, of Rhydyfelin, near Pontypridd, South Wales, saw his doctor about spots after learning his friends had been given medication for their acne.

The 6ft schoolboy was diagnosed with mild acne and given a prescription for Minocin, Cardiff Coroner’s Court heard.

But when he went to a pharmacy with mother Clare, the drug was out of stock.

They were told the pharmacist had spoken to the doctor, who said Shaun could be given an alternative.

Mrs Jones noticed there was no safety leaflet in the box for the replacement, called Sebomin, but thought nothing of it.

Shaun took the drug with a glass of water at 10.30pm before going to bed. An hour later he complained of shortness of breath and tightness in his chest.

Mrs Jones initially contacted an out-of-hours GP service but was told no doctor was available.

Later she called 999 and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Despite treatment at Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant, and the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, he died at 10.40am on October 21.

In a statement read to the court, Mrs Jones said: “My son was fit and healthy. He was 6ft tall and physically very fit.

“He excelled at rugby and trained and played very hard.

“I’m mystified by his death as is my entire family.”

The statement continued: “Had there been instructions in the box, and having read all the information on this drug since, I would have called 999 straightaway and certainly wouldn’t have given him the tablet before going to bed.”

Dr Stephen Jolles, consultant immunologist at the University Hospital of Wales, said Shaun could have suffered an “idiosyncratic reaction” to either the colourings or the active ingredient in the Sebomin tablets. It was possible for only “tiny amounts” of a substance to cause a reaction if someone was allergic, he said.

The inquest continues.
